Predicting Monday’s Headlines: Will A-Rod Be Mister Not-Tober?
Sat, October 6, 2007 at 1:40PM
Even on my best day, I couldn’t equal the headline writers at the Post.
But I thought they could have done a lot better than “Stung!” this morning, after a swarm of insects invaded last night’s Yankee game in Cleveland.
If Alex Rodriguez’s slump continues—and the Yankees lose tomorrow night—I’m placing an early bet on Monday’s front page:
MR. NOT-TOBER.
Right now, I can’t find a Google hit for it. Or a single LexisNexis reference. So the phrase is up for grabs.
Frank J. Oswald
NO BUGS ON THEM. Despite falling behind 3-0 early, the Yankees charged back to beat the Indians last night in New York. The headline in the New York Post this morning: ALIVE!
